French Louis XVI period Rose des Vents marquetry inlaid small chest of drawers circa 1790A small “chiffonnier” or “meuble d'entre deux” in veneered wood such as Rosewood, Boxwood Rosewood, ebony, and tinted sycamore, showing on the fronts of the four drawers and the top a superb and rich marquetry decoration representing checkered fillets and false fluting. The top features a Rose des Vents in boxwood and ebony marquetry.
Beautiful work, certainly from Eastern France, partly from the late French Louis XVI period circa 1790-1800.

In good condition and use, beautifully varnished in our workshops. An old restoration of the piece of furniture is to be reported with a change of wood in the bottoms.
