Pair Of Louis XVI Style Candelabra In Gilt Bronze And Marble Base. 19th Century Period

Pair of candelabra with two light arms with leafy acanthus scrolls punctuated with florets and small torches with a flaming brand unfolding "in arabesque" on either side of a central shaft in the shape of a quiver. Set in corollas of acanthus or lanceolate leaves, the latter is topped with a firepot from which a pine cone blooms in bud. Its pedestal is surrounded by gadroons, acanthus leaves and a ribboned laurel torus. Beautifully chiseled, beaded, interlacing runs along the profile of the bobeches and sockets of the lighting structure set on a marble base decorated with a myrtle branch. Parisian work in the Louis XVI style from the last third of the 19th century. Circa 1880. Materials: marble; gilded bronze. Height 24 cm
