Francine Cuylits (1930-2016).
Belgian painter, born in Ghent. Training in Decorative Arts in Antwerp. Married, mother of six children, she has lived in Brussels since 1954. She began painting in 1972 and participated in various exhibitions of naive paintings including in 2009 "L'art naïf francophone à Tel-Aviv". She won the Public Prize in Morges in 1978, the prix femina in 1986, etc.
Published in 1989, "Bruxelles vue par les peintres naïfs". Book presenting views of Brussels painted by twelve naive painters: Nadia Becker, Micheline Boyadjian, Francine Cuylits, Bebelle de Borchgrave, Jeanne de Soomer, Christine Dhanani-Lefere, Jean-Pierre Hostier, Francine Leuridan, Jean Faucq, Nicolette Palotay, and Monique Schaar.
