Monoxyle wooden bowl, the foot of which is carved with a male figure forming a caryatid. He is crouching on a circular base, his hands resting on the ground, the bowl balanced on the top of his head.
The bowl has a shiny patina. The neck is engraved with a frieze of lozenges against a background of incised obliques.
This type of pot was usually used for tobacco or medicinal plants. Their smoke was considered an offering to the ajimu spirits.
