"Rarity: Small Pewter Candle Holder 18th Century"
Rare small pewter candlestick with baluster shaft of Portuguese origin from the 18th century. Truncated cone-shaped socket and lenticular foot with quarter-round base. Bibliography: "Estanhos portugueses" by Rolando Van Zeller 1979. Wear, small dents obvious and logical given the age and the relatively soft material, I nevertheless consider this object to be in good condition. Note: difficult to find. This object was seen by Mr. Jean-Claude Commenchal, expert in old pewter, whom I thank for this valuable information. Delivery: €15 for mainland France.
