JAPAN - Shinto Anei period (1620 - 1673) - Setsu Province (Osaka). Japanese Wakizashi Mumei sword (unsigned). Braided tsuka in beige gilded silk on white shagreen. Shakudo menukis depicting dragons. Marugata tsuba in openwork iron, engraved and partially gilded depicting a dragon in foaming waves. Shibuishi and shakudo fushi depicting waterfalls, signed Masa Toshi. Shakudo kashira depicting an archer rider. Kozuka depicting a character with a raised arm, signed Suye Nori, and red copper Kogai. Lacquered saya with butterfly wing motifs. Straight blade, regular, straight and marked hamon. Dimensions: 68.5 x 7 x 6 cm Sold with the stand and its silk case for transport.
