JAPAN - Etsuki Shinto School, 17th century. Japanese Wakizashi sword. Black silk braided tsuka on white shagreen. Menukis depicting silver and gilded wild boars. Marugata tsuba in openwork iron, engraved and partially gilded depicting dormice in grapes, signed Bushuju Masa Fusa Saku (Edo). Fushi and kashira with bamboo pattern on a nanako background. Kozuka depicting a fisherman with a heron, signed Omi Ju Masa Haru and Kao. Saya covered in shark skin. Straight blade, regular hamon, straight and very marked. Dimensions: 72 x 7 x 6.5 cm Blade length: 60.5 cm, unsigned. Sold with the stand and its silk case for transport.
