JF Denière and H. Pons 1827, clock with young Bacchus playing the aulos. This beautiful clock features a young Bacchus playing the aulos with a brown patina resting on a base worked in gilded bronze with openwork rocaille motifs and the head of an adult Bacchus. This work of art is signed by the Denière house both on the enamelled dial and on the movement, Jean-François Denière, bronze manufacturer, "supplier to the king, the queen, the princes and princesses and the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne." Denière delivered to the Garde-Meuble for the bedroom of the apartment of the Count of Paris at the Château des Tuileries, according to the memorandum of December 13, 1838, "1 pendule Enfant aux pipeaux". This clock represents a small Bacchus crowned with ivy, seated on a wild animal skin and playing the pipe.
