Beautiful chest of drawers with five drawers, three in the belt and two without a central projection crosspiece. It rests on arched feet. Satin veneer and marquetry. Crosspiece decoration punctuated by small trefoils in the belt and in the upper part of the sides. On the front and on the sides, the satin veneer gives a perspective effect, it has double frames of Greek fillets in the central projection part and a simple Greek fillet for the other parts. The bottom drawer is finished by the low crosspiece of the piece of furniture with a large lamp base in the center. The sides are cut into a lamp base. The uprights, knocked down on the front and projecting at the back, are finished by projecting, arched, pinched feet and decorated with an ebony fillet on the edge. Oak linings. Hidden dovetails in the drawers. Beautiful onementation of chiseled and gilded bronzes. The top is a framed, veined gray marble top with a cut-out shape and a key molding. Stamped twice Dautriche JME on the parquet at the level of the left front upright and on the crosspiece on the right side. Louis XV-Louis XVI Transition period. Very good condition. Old small usual restorations. J. DAUTRICHE received as a master in 1765 was a renowned cabinetmaker who came from Holland to Paris around 1740. "Supplier to the crown, he made magnificent furniture."
