"Sèvres 1912 After Falconet, Psyche Girl With A Bow In Biscuit Porcelain"

This object is signed by the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres and dated 1912. Good house condition, some very slight restorations such as the tip of the bow and toes. This model was created by Etienne-Maurice Falconet (1716-1791) in 1761 for Mme de Pompadour who owned a pendant named "l'Amour Menaçant" from 1757. This representation of the myth of Cupid and Psyche was very successful during the 18th and 19th centuries. Base in white enameled porcelain from Sèvres as well.
