Painted porcelain mug, Ernst Bohne (& Söhne) Rudolstadt factory. Thuringia. Germany. Very good condition, minimal wear. Oxidized metal. Family factory taken over in 1883 under the name Ernst Bohne (& Söhne) by the founder's three sons. They produced shaped pieces until the First World War. The pitcher appears in a catalog from the 1880s (see last photo). Our example, with a smooth "thumbs up", dates from the beginning of the 20th century.
