"China, First Third Of The 20th Century, Pair Of Ming Period Glazed Earthenware Stools."
China, first third of the 20th century, superb pair of stools in glazed ceramic in the spirit of the Ming period in Sancai colors decorated on both sides with an elephant evolving in a plant environment and a fish represented in its aquatic universe. The handles placed on the sides of the upper part represent chimera heads. The top is openwork with motifs representing stylized clouds. The shape and dimensions of these pieces allow them to be used as side tables or small side tables, including outdoors due to the enameled cover. Very high quality production.
Good condition except for small enamel chips on the heads of the chimeras and a very discreet, almost invisible crack on the base of one of the side tables; without any impact on the beautiful aesthetic.
Dimensions per unit: Height 46.5 cm. Width 31.5 cm. Depth 24.5 cm. The scale witness on the last photograph is a bottle of mineral water with a capacity of 1 liter.
