Red Lacquered Wig Box, Gold Chinoiserie, Louis XV Period

Beautiful lacquered wooden box, domed lid, curved base, button and lock entry, external hinges are engraved and gilded brass.
Lid, neat, offers a light relief decoration on a cardinal red background, in imitation of China, view of a garden built of gilded bamboo huts, with even a lookout at  top of trees ... Simply black interior.
These boxes were used to store wigs. Parisian workshops, Regence or Louis XV period.
Dimensions: 29 cm x 22cm x 10cm.
Condition is superb, all genuine without any restoration, varnish is a little dull on places, but still shows good vigor.
Barely a little wear on gold, 2 surface cracks, (yellow arrows), and.. no key.
