Marina Mayer Belgian watercolorist, engraver born in 1954 in Ghent. Studied monumental painting and engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts of the City of Brussels. Student of Suzanne Fabry.
From 1976, she taught engraving at the Academy of Woluwé-Saint-Pierre. Since 1992, she has been a professor of printmaking techniques, Art History and Archaeology section at the Free University of Brussels. In 1998, she produced six large graphic works for the Palais des Congrès in Brussels.
For many years, Marina Mayer has participated in the main international biennials of engraving - Ljubliana, Cadaques, Kanagawa, Taiwan, Lodz, Seoul, Fredrikstad, Caixa, Xylon.
She exhibits regularly in Belgium: Bibliotheca Wittockiana, Galerie ABC, Galerie de Vinci.
She has also won awards in competitions in Belgium, France, Poland and Sweden. Public collections in Belgium and abroad have acquired her works.
