Art Deco painting watercolor gouache signed M. DUPUY (born in 1929) depicting racehorses in the paddock of the presumed racecourse in Deauville. Beautiful old frame model Montmartre in patinated carved wood. Good general condition, dimensions 58 cm X 48 cm Maurice Dupuy is a Norman painter known for his landscapes and horse races. Maurice Dupuy comes from a long line of great artists, he is notably the nephew of the painter Eugène Galien Laloue. Dupuy is famous for his masterful landscapes, scenes of Normandy and Paris. He likes to paint the racecourses and horses of Deauville. According to local legend, Dupuy did not miss a single horse race for 50 years
