This bust is signed on the back Ant Nelson: this is the pseudonym used by the Belgian sculptor Antoine Van Den Kerckhove (1849-1910)
Coming from a family of sculptors, he began his activity as a sculptor from 1880; he is mainly known for his sculptures of busts, figures and monuments He stayed in London, then worked in Paris from 1890 to 1910.
