Precious Chocolate Box Maison Boissier Paris 19th Century

Boissier was a highly sought-after chocolatier since 1827 and this house still operates. He is credited with the invention of candy balls and candied chestnuts. In addition to the beautiful packaging, he had cabinetmakers make very beautiful boxes like this one.
This circular box rests on four bronze feet, the rosewood-veneered belt is scalloped in waves and decorated with enamel medallions. A beautiful bronze handle allows the box to be presented in an elegant manner.
The undulating lid has a ring-shaped window to see the sweets, four bronze bridges carry a plated disc in the center of the window also decorated with an enamel medallion.
The enamels are of a quality similar to Bresse enamels, a blue oven background surrounds a bouquet of roses painted in miniature.
Maison Boissier is engraved on the lock.

Condition:
Perfect condition, has its pretty key and the lock works, has been fully restored.
