"Paul Bistagne (marseille 1850 - 1886) Lively Seaside Return From Fishing"
Touching oil on beveled mahogany panel depicting a smiling young mother and her child waving to fishermen on a boat approaching, their gaze turned towards the blue horizon. Other fishermen are already at the quay, one folding his net. A beautiful palette of colors, perfectly executed work, a subject of great freshness... Supplier's mark stenciled on the back of the panel. Signed Bistagne and dated (18)81 lower left. It still has its large original frame in stuccoed wood gilded with gold leaf carved with ribbons. Dimensions: 35 cm x 26.5 cm 53 cm x 45 cm with its frame Never unframed or touched, in its own juice, a light cleaning would be expected. Please note that I respond to all requests about my objects.
