Small Marquetry Coffee Table, Louis XV Style, Napoleon III Period

Louis XV work table in marquetry with inlays. This small piece of furniture has a moving top surrounded by a brass ingot mold striated on its edge. A mahogany diamond marquetry is surrounded by an inlaid brass net. We can admire a floral composition made of brass and bone. The moving belt is cut and also has an elegant mahogany diamond marquetry and branches. It forms a false drawer with an original hook lock in working order allowing the upper flap to be closed. The latter is decorated with an original mercury mirror dressed with molded and gadrooned brass rods. Inside the furniture, a mahogany storage space has three compartments. This coffee table rests on four arched legs decorated with bronze falls on the upper part and worked bronze sabots on the lower part. ******* Period: Mid-19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
