Macchia Painting, Pair Of Landscapes Signed And Dated By G. Pizzirani.

Beautiful oils on cardboard signed by the Bolognese painter Guglielmo Pizzirani, belonging to that group of landscape painters of the early twentieth century of the "Bologna school of painting", such as Luigi and Flavio Bertelli, Antonino Sartini, Giovanni Secchi, Alessandro Scorzoni, Gino Marzocchi and Garzia Fioresi, who painted the Emilia-Romagna landscapes, reproducing their beauties and witnessing, with the brush, their changes over time.

The two landscapes have different shapes and representations: the one that extends horizontally depicts a beach with figures, in which a storm looms. This painting is signed in brush on the bottom right and dated 1923, also in pencil on the back. The naturalistic depiction, however, which develops vertically, is of a rocky relief and its wild vegetation, this is signed in pencil with a dedication only on the back. 

Pizzirani's pictorial ways emerge well from these paintings, characterized by a dense and fluid brushstroke at the same time.
