This bust of a child in Carrara marble and for the base in Portor marble, is by the sculptor Guglielmo Pugi, signature on the back of the piece. Pugi was born in Tuscany in Fiesole, he lived in Florence from 1870 until his death, where he ran a workshop with the help of his two sons. He participated in exhibitions in the United States where he was very appreciated. His works are kept at the historical museum of the city of Voltera.
