Large shepherd's chair on tapered, fluted and filleted legs. Moulded belt, connection with flowers. Scrolled armrests. Back in the shape of a gendarme hat. Large size!
Typical of provincial production, south of the Lyon region.
Condition report: seat fully restored. Reworked joinery, re-trimmed and re-glued assemblies, new upholstery, including a removable cushion on both sides, upholstered in a superb 100% silk fabric from Lelièvre called ‘Catherine de Russie’.
