"Polychrome Christ, 16th Century"
Beautiful 16th century Christ, remains of polychromy, superb and significant brown patina of antiquity, height approximately 50 cm. Note the hands redone, probably in the 18th century with an assembly by flipot (see photo) and on the other 2 fingers redone. Note the characteristic elements of this period: the beautiful face soothed as if sleeping, no sign of suffering, the design of the rib cage in a small circle forming a Roman arch, the feet in internal opposition, the almost straight body....probably from the Flemish school.
