Very beautiful sketch of a symbolist painting by François Charles Baude. signed and dedicated lower left. This painter was born in 1880 in Houplines north of Lille, died in Armentières in 1953. He studied at the École des Beaux Arts and the Académie Julian. He was a student of BOUGUEREAU. Also a student of Baschet and Henri Royer. He participated in the first round of the Prix de Rome in 1906 whose subject is "Christ served by the angels". His works are kept in the collection of the city of Paris, at the Armentières town hall, at the Ministry of the Interior and at the Dunkirk Museum. Canvas without frame, some missing parts but in good used condition. Original condition without restoration carried out. Dimensions, 46 cm x 38 cm.
