Beautiful and elegant cylinder desk in veneered wood decorated with musical instruments, scores and flowers, Louis XVI period, 18th century around 1780. The piece of furniture we are presenting opens on the front with a series of seven drawers, one of which has a chest. The interior has two compartments and three drawers. Two shelves are hidden on the sides of the cylinder. The woods used are: Violet wood, rosewood, sycamore and rosewood. The case is made of oak. Our cylinder desk is a very fine example of refined furniture as seen in the tradition of the great cabinetmakers of the 18th century. It is inlaid on all sides, and is therefore called a middle desk. Private collection. In good condition, maintenance restoration. Dimensions: h.120 cm x l.126 cm x p.69 cm
