"Pair Of Empire / Restoration Period Candlesticks"
Pretty pair of torches in very finely chiseled bronze, with double patina. The original mercury gilding is in good condition (just slight wear from use on the base). They have their bobeches and do not have deformations or other defects. There are some subtle differences in the ornamentation of the two candlesticks, which are the result of the bronzesmith's imagination in the context of an original creation, and not of later modifications (execution, assembly, shapes and finishes of the pieces in question that are perfectly similar).
