The classical design and the combination of colours refer to the “goût étrusque”, a fashion trend in architecture and interior design that has its origin in the archaeological finds of Greek vases in the second half of the 18th century and their later publication in the famous work “Collection Of Etruscan, Greek And Roman Antiquities From The Cabinet Of The Honble. Wm. Hamilton”.
