"Marlotte Stoneware Rabbit"
This stoneware rabbit is a creation of Emile Mousseux, born in 1866 in Gien where he entered the factory as an apprentice at the age of 9. In 1902, an art earthenware factory was set up in Marlotte, near Montigny-sur-Loing, these two villages being known for having been centres of ceramic and stoneware production in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He managed the factory until 1933.
