"Alabaster Vase, Ancient Egypt, 1st-2nd Century"
Small “ointment vase” also called “perfume vase” in alabaster from Ancient Egypt, from the period between the 1st and 2nd century. Alabaster vases such as this one were hand-made and sculpted from raw gypsum. Simple globular-shaped vase with a short neck with flat, disc-shaped lips. Ancient Egypt 1st-2nd century AD. Two small losses at the bottom of the vase. Normal wear and tear. Used condition Dimensions: Height: 12.5 cm Diameter at the belly: 14 cm External diameter of the neck: 11.1 cm Width of the lips of the neck: 2.7 cm Internal diameter of the neck: 5.5 cm
