Fireplace screen in gilded wood from the Second Empire period Magnificent fireplace screen in gilded and carved wood. Beautiful carpentry work using the codes of the 18th century. This screen is a French work from the Napoleon III period. Carved with friezes of leaves in bases, hearts, ribboned friezes. The period gilding retains all its appeal and shine. Note some wear due to use. The frame is covered for the face with a Chinese fabric. Height 98cm Width 68cm
