A beautiful pair of bronzes, late 17th century or early 18th century, having lived through the Franco-Flemish wars of the Louis XIV era, the siege of Lille, etc. Here Lions of Flanders wear a quasi-crown, and were once used, fixed on either side, by 4 nails on side of a chest to hold a strong bronze handle, Condition of find, good condition, traces of old gilding…10cm x 6.5cm
