"2 Chinese Porcelain Blue And White Dishes Early Qing Dynasty Kangxi Reign Early 18th Century"
Pair of hard porcelain dishes from the Jindezhen kilns made for export. The unusual decoration is in the style of the early 18th century, we think they are from the French Regency period, which would be confirmed by the very beautiful cobalt blue from the Kangxi period (+1722). One of the two dishes is slightly different from the other, less bright blue, less precise drawings and absence on the reverse of the two "brushstrokes". It is possible that this is a later production to respond to the replacement of broken pieces or the phenomenon would be due to a different firing due to a different positioning in the kiln and the work of a less careful craftsman. Small chips on the edges, very light but clearly visible because the edges are glazed chocolate brown. No cracks or repairs. Diameter: 222 to 224mm
