Finely engraved double-sided vertical sperm whale tooth with:- on the front: a hanging horn, a crown, two swords, two flags, all resting on a chest placed on a staircase.
- on the back: a kangaroo and an ostrich (rare representation on scrimshaws).
Garland decorations around the perimeter.
Dimensions: height 13.5 cm.
Can be dated to the mid-19th century, probably Australia.
