Touch it with its bright, wild and beautiful colors. The style of his master and father-in-law Charles Bichet, painter of the school of Crozant is recognized.
The post-impressionist painting in relief also makes us think of painters like Henri Martin or Achille Laugé.
The trees, grass and sky are reflected in the river.
In a few strokes of the brush, the finely executed paint impasto gives the painting a harmonious atmosphere.

Louis-Léon Jouhaud was born in Limoges on 21 December 1874 at 2 rue Ferrerie.
His father, Edmond Jouhaud (1832-1922), runs a linen and wool business at the same address.
His mother, Eve Ranciat is the younger daughter of Frédéric Ranciat (- 1883), a jeweler from rue du Clocher and Marie Bichet.
Léon has two older sisters: Louise who will take the veil and Amélie who will marry Adrien Périchon.
In 1896, the young Léon went to Paris to study medicine. He discovered the writers and artists of the time: Marcel Proust, Edmond Rostand, Picasso, Vlaminck ...
Diploma in pocket, he returns to settle in Limoges in 1903 where he opens a consulting office on rue du Consulat.
In 1906, he decided to abandon his profession to devote himself entirely to drawing and painting and quickly turned to the enamel trade that he would practice in his house on rue Georges-Bonin.
His passion for science and research led him to develop a technique based on painted enamel, to invent new processes including the one called "concrete" and to create coloring components that are very personal to him.
Charles Bichet, a professor of decorative arts in Limoges, became his teacher and Léon Jouhaud married his younger daughter, Charlotte (1887-) on 15 January 1908.
Two children were born of this union, Edmond in 1910 and Suzanne in October 1919 who married Henri Salon.
The artist died in Limoges in 1950 leaving about 1500 enamels and paintings.
Léon Jouhaud, a witness of his time, will look at simple moments of everyday life with a genius of harmony of forms and colors even in his cubist compositions.
In addition to portraits and family scenes, the landscapes of the Peyrat le Château region, where the Jouhaud family loved to take their holidays, will be a regular source of inspiration for the artist.
We are looking for works by Léon Jouhaud (his paintings and enamels), but also by his master Charles Bichet.
