Biography:
GILSOUL VICTOR OLIVIER (1867 - 1939) born in Brussels, active in France since 1900.
He exhibited at the Brussels Salon as well as at the Salon des Artistes français in Paris.
He received a silver medal at the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris and a gold medal in Munich.
He was decorated with the Order of Leopold.
The King of Belgium commissioned a series of Belgian landscapes from him.
A painter with a fairly extensive repertoire, he painted many landscapes, lively cities and compositions with figures and was exhibited in museums (Antwerp, Paris, Barcelona, etc.)
