Circa 1740 Lyon France Beautiful panel in brocaded fluted silk decorated with naturalistic flowers. Lyon manufacture, probably designed by Jean Revel. Subtle color gradient in the flowers called berclé, and in the weft, clever brocaded with silver curled blades of the most beautiful effect! Gold braids and later purple cotton lining, possibly from the 19th century. No defects. Exceptional state of color and conservation given its age. Dimensions: 225 cm x 54 cm.
