A professional modeler and sculptor, Sculptor Cot's creations are made of bronze or patinated marble resin, lacquered or metallized. Describing his work as a search for the purity of lines and shapes, to achieve a harmonious combination and a fair balance, Sculpteur Cot expresses his art through several concepts including those of chaos and harmony. "I speak of duality in work. If a work of art is in duality, it is stronger", Sculpteur Cot. Playing with pieces, shapes and matter is the essence of Sculpteur Cot's artistic production. By taking them over, the viewer discovers new pieces in which light becomes a partner. The artist thus underlines the constitutive trinity of his art: light, matter and creator. The Cot sculptures presented during the show "I can make pieces that break but that's not my true language of form", Sculpteur Cot. Breaking, amalgamating and then reforming, Sculpteur Cot creates chaotically. From working with matter to visualizing a future form, the artist has no rules of his own, inspired at the time. "I don't want to obey rules. I am me, I don't want to cheat with my work.", Sculptor Cot. Frequently exhibiting at the Marché de la Création as in galleries, the artist is used to submitting his art to the gaze of the spectator. Between personal exchange with his own inspiration and his environment, Sculptor Cot inscribes his art in the materiality of the world. Link/ https://cot-sculpture.paris/oeuvres/
