"Pulcinella - Painted Panel End Of 19th Century "
Rare painted panel depicting Pulcinella. Pulcinelka is the most popular character in the commedia dell'arte. But he only has the name in common with the Neapolitan "Pulcenella". Pulcenella is a key character in Neapolitan popular culture with a thousand facets who exorcises his existential anxieties. And Naples is very present on our panel: Already Vesuvius, Vomero, Castel dell'Ovo etc. The panel has its original frame and has never been unframed.
