Fernand Wery (1886, Ixelles -1964 Watermael-Boitsfort).
Belgian painter of figures, landscapes, genre scenes, still lifes and portraits. He was particularly interested in women and children. Trained at the Academies of Ixelles and a student of C. Montald at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. He received several awards, including the Oleffe Prize. His style evolved from Brabant Fauvism to a sensitive and intimate realism.
