MODERN ART-NEO CLASSICAL ART-BRONZE SCULPTURE GREECE DISCOBOLO 19TH CENTURY A legendary Hellenic figure, the discus thrower was sculpted for the first time during Greek Antiquity, by the sculptor Myron (5th century BC). It represents a naked athlete, in a throwing posture, knees bent and arms in opposition. 19th century cast iron with dark green patina. Good condition (marks, wear, traces; see descriptive photos). Weight: 444 grams.
