A high table lamp in gilt bronze with its original shade and in perfect condition, resting on four feet. Signed on one foot by Pierre Casenove and on another by Fondica, as well as numbered below the base. This high lamp (83cmwith its shade, 60cm for the gilt bronze part) is a perfect example of casenove work for fondica, with forms and shapes influenced by the works of garouste & bonetti / en attendant les barbares. The multi-tone gilding is of the highest quality and in perfect condition. Pierre Casenove, born in 1943, is an important French designer who designed a number of products for prestigious brands such as L'Oreal, Baccarat, Christian Dior, or Ligne Roset. His designs have been shown in museums and art galleries around the world, notably Center Pompidou in Paris and the Moma in New York. In 2010 he founded his own design agency, casenove + raymond, with graphic designer véronique raymond. Pierre casenove is also a professor at the ENSCI since 1995 and was a board member of the French national design institute from 2009 to 2015.
