The cup rests on a gadrooned pedestal.
It is in plain silver with a rocaille cartouche numbered MJ (?).
This cartouche is most likely a later addition from the second half of the 19th century.
The lip is highlighted with partially worn threads.
The cup is hallmarked:

. Date letter: P with the year 89
. Goldsmith's mark LJMB with a star for Louis-Joseph Bouty, known as Milleraud Bouty. Master's mark in 1779
. Illegible discharge mark
