"Carrousel" illustrated by Christiane Vauzelle, published in 1984 by Maison Hermès Paris. Rare and sought-after "Carrousel" Harness project after Bérain for the horse of his majesty King Louis XIV in view of a Carrousel. This very beautiful silk twill square, with hand-rolled edges, on a bronze green background and ivory borders with yellow braid, is available in 14 riders and their richly harnessed horses who seem to be setting off in a scene to the glory of King Louis XIV. The title in the center in a circle bears the inscription in gold letters "Harness project after Bérain for the horse of his Majesty King Louis XIV in view of a Carrousel". A single horse parades in the center of this circle while the other riders form a cavalcade around it. In a range of tones, beige, gold, blue-gray, yellow, this beautiful scarf is signed at the bottom right "Hermès Paris" with its copyright. It still bears its French manufacturing label 100% silk.
