Louis-Emile CANA 1845 / 1895
Louis-Emile CANA is a French animal sculptor of Italian origin born in 1845 and died in 1895. A student of Arson and like him particularly attracted to birds, he exhibited at the Salon, from 1863 to 1887, works in wax and bronze such as Caille et ses petits 1863, Perdrix 1869, Querelle de Pigeons 1887 etc......
Classically trained, he liked to magnify women in all their appearances, from childhood to old age, from the delicate nude to the most detailed of regional costumes.
