Very original and modernist oil on canvas measuring 60cm x81cm signed lower left Hubert Aicardi, dated 48 Painter born in Marseille, entered the Beaux-Arts in 1940, following the courses of Canepa, Frégier, Engrand, winning all the prizes. In 1943 he went to Paris to the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts until 1948, the year of his first Parisian exhibition. He will share his life between Marseille, Corsica and Algeria. He will become an important painter of the Marseille bohemia. Very good condition
