Lp Encrypted Linen Sheet - White Embroidery With Openwork And Scallop - Late 19th Century

Linen sheet with the initials LP, hand embroidered from a traditional trousseau from the end of the 19th century. The set is of very good quality, both in terms of work and textile which has retained all its density and flexibility. Discovery worked over its entire width as well as its returns, framing a large monogram with base; all executed with a variety of stitches such as sand stitch, plumetis, daisy, among other cord stitch or rose stitch for the border festoon. A river with faiceaux embroidered with darning stitch underlines the whole.

White piece, the dimensions of which are intended for a current bed in 140 cm for a generous fall on both sides. Apart from a very light, very clear and small foxing of approximately 1 cm in diameter located on the side edge, this sheet is in excellent condition. It has been washed and ironed.
