A seat joiner, the majority of his works are in the Louis XVI style. He was established, until the Revolution, on rue de Cléry, where he made very high quality seats, very neat, simple but delicately sculpted, with medallion, square or basket-handle backs, with rigorous lines and tapered legs with roughened fluting.
