Pair of ‘lyre’ chairs on tapered, fluted and ringed legs. Moulded horseshoe belt. An important and rare aesthetic point, there are no connecting dice, in the manner of certain productions by the Parisian joiner Malbet. The back is curved and pierced with a lyre motif topped with a laurel wreath.

Condition report: joinery with no gaps, upholstery in very good condition, upholstered as new in a superb and very luxurious raspberry-coloured speckled silk velvet from Tassinari et Chatel. Matching trimmings. Minor accidents.
