Very pretty stoneware vase signed Dalpayrat, hollow mark. Magnificent red enamel called "Dalpayrat red" characteristic of the artist's work. Very slight small firing defect at the neck (see photo). Dalpayrat is one of the greatest representatives of the revival of European ceramics at the end of the 19th century. Born in Limoges in 1844, he opened his own earthenware factory in 1889 in Bourg-la-Reine. He participated in the Universal Exhibition in Chicago in 1893 and then in Paris in 1900.
