Late 17th, early 18th century Provence France Beautiful needlepoint tapestry of a Bergère armchair seat dating from the Regency period at the latest. Bérain decoration of a large Medici vase loaded with flowers and rocaille arches. The polychromy of the wool embroidery is remarkable and originates from a private mansion in Aix. On the edge, pieces of glazed linen, trace of dismantling. Very good structural and solid condition, allowing for reuse without problem. Dimensions: width 65 cm, height 61 cm.
